Do I Need Shoulder Pads in my Vintage Sewing Pattern?

So often we hesitate purchasing sewing patterns from the 80s and 90s because they call for shoulder pads. Although shoulder pads are back on the fashion runway in 2021, this may not have filtered down to store clothing yet. No worries, you have several options:

1. Make the pattern with the shoulders called for in the sewing pattern and simply rock that era!

2. Keep the shoulder pads but purchase smaller or softer ones. There are so many options!
